I missed a few weeks due to crazy deadlines (thanks, SDCC!), so you guys and gals get to watch me play catch-up this week with FOUR Comics Alphabet entries. Boo-yah!
First up this week is Herbie Popnecker, aka the Fat Fury! Herbie was one of those characters that fell through the cracks back in the day until Dark Horse released a set of reprints last year.
Starring a taciturn fat kid whose collection of lollipops give him unspeakable power, the all-out weirdness of the Herbie stories must be seen to be believed.
I'm still using the old-school 64-color Marvel palette, but I'm experimenting a bit with it. I really love the colors on this one, and I'm surprised at how versatile those 64 colors can be!
Interesting bit of trivia: According to this one thing I saw on the Internet once, Herbie is Watchmen and V for Vendetta writer Alan Moore's favorite comics character.
Coming up this week, Ice, Jimmy Olsen, and-- well, I'm not sure. Turns out Kalibak is a pain to draw. Still taking character suggestions. Anybody want to see Superman's oddball mermaid girlfriend, Lori Lemaris? (that's right. MERMAID. GIRLFRIEND. Way to go, Silver Age.)
New deals posted everyday, starting Black Friday and running through the holiday season! No hassles, no lines - just awesome savings on art, deviantWEAR, Premium Memberships and more!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I want to say thank you especially to *Jeannieblue who motivated me, to don't stop with suggesting DDs; And of course to all my friends here on dA which are always there if you need them.
